Let’s do the history first. Thomas Edison, the multi-talented inventor of, among other things, electric power generation, used to live just a few doors down and you can still tour his house. For sports fans, the views of Louisville City FC stadium are pretty amazing from up on the balcony, and we’re ideally located if you’re in town for the Kentucky Derby. And as for the bourbon whiskey, well, take your pick from the various distilleries that are literally yards from your front door. But first, let’s open that door and take look inside… THE FIRST FLOOR You have two living rooms to choose from, both with comfortable sofas that you can sleep on. One converts into a bed, the other’s big enough to lie flat on unless you’re super, super tall (in which case, we recommend one of the Kingsize beds upstairs!) These living areas give you somewhere to gather for streaming sessions or movie nights on the wall-mounted TV, but also a quiet place for some me-time where you can flick through your social media or finish that book you started on the plane. When you’re finished, there’s a selection of the owner’s books you’re welcome to read, plus a sound system too. Also on this first level are the kitchen and dining room. Preparing food is a real pleasurable experience in a kitchen full of modern appliances and quality countertops. There’s plenty of storage space in the cabinets and large fridge freezer, as well as a coffee maker, dishwasher and all the utensils you need for a tasty BBQ in the back yard. Whatever snacks or meals you create in the kitchen can be enjoyed at the 8-seater dining table in the separate dining area. Clear the plates away after you’ve eaten, and you have a great working, meeting and gaming space as and when you need it. A couple more things to note before we head upstairs – there’s a laundry here with a washer and dryer so you can keep clothes clean, in-house. And finally, for your convenience, a half bathroom with toilet and sink which is sure to come in handy! Now up to the second, where the majority of guests will sleep as it’s home to three of the four bedrooms and both the bathrooms. Across all the beds, the mattresses and bed linen are of the highest quality, with extra pillows and blankets provided if you need them. One of the bedrooms features a king bed and the other two queens. All three bedrooms have their own wall-mounted smart TVs. Both of the bathrooms offer luxurious places in which to relax and unwind or freshen up and get ready for a new day. Take your pick from a soak in a tub or an invigorating splash under the shower. Top quality towels are provided and there’s plenty of room to store your toiletries. And finally, the top floor with the last of the 4 bedrooms featuring another kingsize bed. It’s from up here that you can access the balcony - a great spot to sit and soak up the sun and take in the views of the soccer stadium. OUTSIDE SPACE The balcony is not the only outside space you’ll have to yourselves when you stay here. There’s a fenced back yard with grassy areas that’s perfect for relaxation and ideal for younger guests and your pet to run around in and burn off some of their energy! FAMILY FRIENDLY If you’re a family with very young children, you’re most welcome to stay here, with 2 x travel cribs provided. PET FRIENDLY We know there’s no way you’d go on vacation without including your dog in all the fun! That’s why your pet is welcome to stay with you when you book here. Your group of up to 10 guests will have over 1,700 feet of living space to enjoy all to yourselves. The condo is located behind a clothes store, and there’s space for up to 6 vehicles at the rear of the property, making it the ideal place to stay for multiple families or a group of friends who are planning to drive here separately. This is a property in which each of the two levels is self-contained with a living area, kitchen, bathrooms and two bedrooms. The upper level features a wooden floored open concept living area with two sofas, one of which is a queen sleeper, and a large flat screen TV with Netflix and Roku. The kitchen features a range of appliances, plus a bar area with 4 stools for seating. There’s also access to the balcony which overlooks the street. Owner was very responsive, overall great place to stay if you are looking for a good amount of beds. Only issue we had was running out of toilet paper, but easily attainable.

We loved our stay in Prospect. The views were breathtaking. We enjoyed waking up every morning with coffee on the back porch overlooking the water. There were plenty of linens and it was very clean. All of the basics were provided. Will definitely be back to visit.
This place was perfect for our 5 night stay. Plenty of room for two couples, clean and comfortable. For us it felt like a cozy home away from home. The location is great, with a lot to do within walking distance and still easy to get anywhere else in the city. When we come back to Louisville, this will be where we stay!

Location is excellent. Walkable to lots of restaurants, shops and Bellarmine University. Easy drive to bourbon tours. Off street parking was nice. Because it is off the Main Street, it can be noisy but the air conditioner muffled the noise so not an issue. Lots of stairs to the living and bedroom are so if stairs are an issue for you this would not be the place. Also likely not good for small kids as the top of the stairs case is wide open right as you come out of the bedrooms. The main bath off the kitchen was beautiful and spacious. The en-suite was tight with a smaller toilet and sink. No frills in the unit, but the location is unbeatable.
